Halfway Down the Stairs publishes poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, and book reviews.
They are currently open for submissions for their March issue, themed ‘Milestones’.
Deadline: February 1, 2020
Submit poetry of up to 500 words, fiction up to 5,000 words. The fiction editors are looking mostly for short stories, but are happy to consider well-crafted flash fiction.
Submit up to 3,000 words of non-fiction. They are specifically looking for essays and memoir with a strong voice and a unique point of view.
