Memoir Writing Class

Here at The Writing District, we offer the Memoir Writing Class, which gives writers the opportunity to share a personal story they’ve always wanted to tell, but never known how to. Our class will guide you through putting your personal story together, turning it into a coherent, flowing and readable piece of writing. It is an online creative writing class, and it lasts six weeks. There will be notes and assignments on a weekly basis, and our writing tutor will provide written feedback tailored to your work and learning.

Across the six-week period, there will be a different module every week, and each module will explore a unique aspect of memoir writing. The first module will give you a detailed introduction to memoir writing, as well as delve deeper into different techniques and approaches for writing your personal memoir piece. Following on from this, later weeks will explore aspects such as structure and timeline, dialogue, setting, theme and emotion. Head to our website for full details of our memoir writing class.
